1. Digital Classrooms
To make learning an enjoyable experience for students and to develop the skills and confidence of teachers to use technology thereby improving teacher’s effectiveness, we have introduced digital classrooms.
Smart Panels
The installation of smart panels has made learning much easier as teachers are able to accommodate different learning styles incorporating the need of a visual, auditory and kinesthetic set of students. It has also helped the teaching-learning process because of its ability to view diagrams, charts, images and videos with audio for the students on a huge screen. The touch screen option allows the teachers to use the panel with the tap of their fingers.
Smart Television
To have efficient academic learning and to grab the attention of the students and develop vocabulary and pronunciation smart TV’s were installed in all kindergarten classrooms. Videos, music and images along with the digital content have not only helped the students to grasp the content but also to learn beyond the textual content. The visual and audio aid that is provided has immensely helped students to learn at ease.
2. Laboratories
Science Labs
Marygiri has full-fledged spacious modern laboratories equipped with all necessary facilities to provide hands-on practical experience to our students. Excellent equipment and ample practical experience is provided in separate laboratories for Physics, Chemistry and Biology in accordance with the CBSE curriculum.
Computer Labs
Two computer labs, one for primary and the other in the main block is equipped with all facilities that help out students get acquainted with the latest trends in the field of computer science. Each student is given hands-on practice in the use of a computer.
I Lab
Our school’s teaching philosophy goes beyond classroom education and we ensure that we supplement the theoretical instruction with audio-visual aids. A fully equipped Audio Visual Room is fitted with state-of-the-art technology that has helped simplify learning the multimedia facilities. Through these aids, the teachers are able to disseminate knowledge via movies, wildlife documentaries, animated videos, talks by well-known personalities.
3. Library
The school boasts of a well-equipped library with an impressive index of titles, covering fiction and non-fiction, periodicals, magazines and newspapers. Students are encouraged to make use of these facilities and read additional books and periodicals to supplement what is learnt in the classrooms. The library is a fully equipped computerized library with about 10,000 books including a house of encyclopedias on various heads covering almost all scholastic and co-scholastic disciplines. Students are provided with a facility to subscribe to newspapers in order to keep abreast with contemporary world affairs.
4. Tots Nest
The Tots Nest is a newly set up edutainment arena that has helped create a conducive atmosphere at Marygiri Kids Cove. Here the tots get a lot of opportunities to play and entertain themselves thus feeling content and being able to quench their realms of academia. Inaugurated on Children’s Day, Tots nest is the very place for our tots where they enthusiastically spend time climbing on the slide and sea saw and experience a wide range of edutainment toys. Students are given opportunities to learn and play during all working days.
5. Sports and Fitness
Sports and Games are given a lot of boost in our school. Marygiri is leaping ahead in this field with the presence of four full-time physical education teachers. One hour each for every class is set apart for physical education in a week. Marygiri has its own under 14, under 16 and under 19 basketball teams, under 19 football teams, under 16 and under 19 cricket teams, under 16 and under 19 volleyball teams and shuttle badminton teams. Interested and selected students from our Sports Team. They all undergo regular and intense training and coaching in various coaching camps.
Fitness Hub
Exposing students to fitness during high school days will help them to maintain a healthy lifestyle throughout their lives. Marygiri Fitness Hub provides a safe and comfortable workout environment for its students to learn about fitness and smart lifestyles. Inaugurated on 14 November 2019, students of senior classes who are interested are given the opportunity to perform the exercises safely and effectively.
6. Building Facilities
Auditoriums
Marygiri Public School has two spacious, well ventilated and hi-tech auditorium which hosts all the common programs of the school.
Chavara Auditorium, a multi-purpose auditorium is an ideal space for school assemblies, events, stage productions and interschool activities. The auditorium is lavish, spacious, airy and comfortable. The stage is an architectural marvel and the state of art sound system ensures clear audibility.
Maria Hall, the very stage for the little ones has provided the right avenue for our KG and Primary students to showcase their talents in front of the audience and gain confidence.
Lift
A lift has been constructed in the main building of the school with a view of easy access to different floors.
CCTV and Security System
The safety and security of our students is our priority. In order to provide a secure environment for our students, the school has taken the initiative to install CCTV cameras around the school campus to ensure safety at all times.
Fire and Safety
As per the government norms, fire and safety equipment are installed and all the equipment are capable of being used in case of any emergency.
Sewage Treatment Plant
A Sewage treatment plant is erected in our school which allows the wastewater to be recycled and this is used for the purpose of gardening. The treatment plant helps in saving water to a great extent.
7. Student Services
Guidance and Counselling
The school has an around-the-clock Counselling Cell ever ready to assist our students as and when they are in need. The students can use the services of a trained and experienced Counsellor who provides them with all-around assistance and help for children with a learning disability or any issues pertaining to the development of the children.
Boarding House
Boarding facilities are available separately for boys and girls studying in Marygiri Public School from classes VI-XII. The facilities include well-furnished study halls, a mess catering to the palette of children, a well-equipped library, chapel, audiovisual aids, indoor and outdoor games and sports. A team of well-trained staff look after the need of the children thus giving them the ambience of a ‘home away from home. Under this roof, a child is safe in all aspects-academic, spiritual, social and moral.
Transportation
Marygiri Public School has an efficient transport network, comprising a fleet of modern, well-maintained buses handled by efficient drivers and support staff who ensure that the students are picked up and dropped back home safely.
