1.SAHODAYA 2017-18

Sahodaya 2016-17 was conducted on 17,18,19 and 20th November 2016 at Viswadeepthi Public School,Adimali.The event was well organised and was inaugurated in all it's splendor by the prominent cine artist Mr.Sai Kumar .About 86 schools competed and Our school bagged the runners up position.The school had high hopes for this years sahodaya as excellent tutoring was arranged for the students.The school gave coaching in various group events like Daffmutt,mapilapattu,oppana,kolkali,mime,one act play,Western music etc.by bringing proffesionals from various places of Kerala.The performance of our school was commentable and  the Spirit of our students could be seen throughout the event.The preparations started earlier this year.Notable changes were observed in Margum kali,Thiruvathira and Anchoring, in which the students bagged I ,and IIIrd under the superior guidance of their tutors.Our school took part in almost every event and it was a great feeling  to see the students performing really well.The school secureda grand total of 252 points.By this, they once again proved that they are equally gifted in  both the academic as well as in cultural side.Literary events were conducted weeks before the stage events and Sahodaya 2016-17 was once again a feather in marygiri's cap.Sahodaya came to an end on 20th November and Miss.Anusree  declared the winners.The school honoured the students who recieved prizes as well as the participants in an assembly that was conducted in the school premises.Yet another sahodaya was over, and the school along with  her students continues their journey.Sahodaya was a showcasing of the talents of our students and also a scenario in which the students showed their team spirit,dedication and love for their school.

2.SPORTS 2017-18


One of the most valuable and appreciated achievements made by our students was the success in the Kottayam District Amateur Athletic Meet held at Marangattupilly.5 of our students directly qualified to Inter District National Athletic. They are :

The event concluded in great glory as girls under 14 category winning the championship. Our students have participated in under 14, 16 and 18 categories too. Five of them succeeded in qualifying for the State level competitions which is scheduled to be held at Maharajas College Stadium at Kochi.


Sanjo sports and games conducted by the CMI schools of Kottayam province has always been in favour of Marygiri. This year our school has won the overall championship in the Athletics meet held at Chavara Public School ground, Amanakara. The Sanjo Basket ball match held at St. Anne’s GHSS, Kurianad brought two runner up trophies via Junior and Senior teams.


Central Kerala CBSE Sahodaya Badminton championship held at St. Mary’s  HSS, Thuruthipilly has added a golden feather to the crown of Marygiri. The Eight member team of our school has won the overall championship in the competition and we bagged  five first prizes in individual events.


The Volley ball team, under 19 boys category, won the runners up trophy at the Sahodaya competition held at Carmel CMI Public School, Vazhakulam competing with their true sports man spirit.


Our school also became the runners up in the Central Kerala CBSE Basket ball tournament held at Viswajyothi Public School, Angamali after winning a series of tough matches.


The boys volley ball team of the school bagged the runners up trophy in the central kerala sahodaya championship held recently to make the school feel proud of.

Hearty congratulations to all the winners for their achievements. Appreciating all the participants for the commitment, hard work and competitive spirit they displayed on and off the field.
